The world situation is very harsh and painful. We are distressed all the time. Sometimes it’s the current security condition of the world and on the others we are worried about the economic situation of the world. The News channels are always ready to present something horrible. They are constantly reminding us of the crisis the world is passing through. But thanks o the Film makers. If they were not there, we all would have probably died of depression and mental trauma. But they have saved us from that.

They are always making fun movies, movies which might not contribute anything to our mental or intellectual growth, but movies which keep us happy and give us a reason to laugh. Such movies are very important to produce, so that we all can live with peace of mind.

The other day, I watch quite an old romantic comedy, Father of the Bride. I always love to watch this movie. It is always a supplement for happiness. The sensible humor and a very deep storyline is a great combination I always cherish.
The relatively new movie Definitely Maybe is a stupid comedy. I never found a good reason to watch it again and again. It is nothing more than a happy waste of time. Now I know why I love it, because it is cracking jokes now and then and has a very calm sort of aura.

The ridiculous acts of Isla Fisher in the movie Confessions of a Shopaholic are amusing and humorous. They put a smile on my face every time I watch it. And the lovely love story is very amusing.
And who can forget the pranks of Julia Roberts in The Pretty Women. Her idiotic acts make us all laugh out loud. The older it gets, the better it seems.

Lately I watched the movie She’s Out of My League, trust me, I would never recommend the movie, had the condition of world been better. But now, I do…and most of the people will like it. Because it is fun!

All the movies I mentioned above are termed as chick’s flicks. But I don’t think there is anything wrong with men going to cinema to watch these ridiculously insane movies, because they are doing a job which is rare on earth nowadays and that is making a person laugh. It is good to spend a few bucks and come out of the cinema feeling good with a smile on your face.

As infants, we have got to do nothing but play games, a little older; we are still playing cute, easy games. Life continues, we grow up and so do our games. They are always there, most of the time for leisure and sometime for learning. But they are still there, for most of our youth.

We play games like basketball, baseball and badminton in courts. We have got teams; we have a lot of friends. Such games are played with planning and previously done homework.  We come in the field with a lot of enthusiasm and passion.We are unknowingly developing habits of healthy teamwork, good communication skills and tolerance. We are learning that it is alright to lose after working hard because at least we tried.

Then we learn many stupid games we can play while the lecture is on. Some of them are developed on spot. The teacher is saying something, we do not care, and we are playing. Because we cannot tolerate the boring history lecture. And something needs to be done to kill the hour. Hence games come to the rescue.

We all have got Computer games in our PCs, we are using the computer for hours, mom is thinking my poor kid is doing research for tomorrow’s test, but what she knows? We are playing the amazing GTA:Vice City. What is our fault?... the game is so addicted and we need to unlock the locked terrain to know what lies there.

And I wanted to Google something in some hot day of June 2010, as soon as the site appeared, I was surprised to see the interesting game Pacman. I wasted ten minutes playing the Pacman in Google’s doodle, again lost in the dreamy realm of games. And at times we are caught in the thoughtful polls on various sites.

I thought of getting a nap for some time. The mobile phone rang and a text message was received. I replied to the message, went to the inbox, when I was done, I went to the Applications of my phone and again I was caught in the web of games. I was playing and playing without knowing that my time for sleep has gone and now I have to get back to some work.

Technology has made games a virus; they are found everywhere, in every medium. It is healthy to play them but we should develop a self control so that we do not go crazy at the sight of them. There has to be time for work and time for play. And if you cannot control your heart, delete games from computer and mobile phone as I did!
